Appearance – Cheap! It looks like a mass-produced pie a la Mr. Kipling. Bonus points for trying with the star, but its hardly a feast for the eyes.
Mince to Pastry ratio – High, especially for a cheap pie which typically are devoid of all but a spec of mincemeat.
Mouthfeel – Chunky but squishy – very pleasant. Nice crispness to the pastry.
Flavour – Very good, a lovely taste without being too sweet.
Summary – This just goes to show that you can’t judge a pie by its crust. Not everyone has Tesco Finest money to throw around and this proves you don’t have to!
Overall Rating – 3 Santas
